    If you plan on syncing sound to your images, DO NOT buy a Canon camera that shoots 30p. The 7D shoots 24p (which is really 23.98). But the 5D I know for a fact shoots a unique frame-rate of 30p (not 29.97, like EVERY other camera). Your audio and video WILL be out of sync on longer takes if this camera shoots true 30p like the Canon 5D MKii. The 7D seems much more engineered for video. While the 5D MKii with it’s huge sensor takes a cleaner image.

    before I get the 550D I’m buying a used HVX200 sometime next week..then the 550D…
