“Tiny Furniture” was shot on the Canon 7D and has just won the juried Best Film award at the SXSW film festival. The trailer for the film is below.
These are interesting times with the Oscar for best picture going to a movie shot on the S16mm format (The Hurt Locker) and a film shot on the Canon 7D winning best film at SXSW. You definitely don’t need to be shooting on 35mm film to be a contender these days.

Starring Dunham and her real-life family, Tiny Furniture is tragicomedy about what does and does not happen when you graduate with no skills, no love life, and a lot of free time.
