There are times when a external monitor just won’t do! So I dropped my hard earned money on a Z-finder EVF.

New Canon 5D MarkII Plus a New Set of Zeiss Primes

November 19th, 2011

Zeiss Primes

I’m continuing to expand my camera package, i’ve just added a Canon 5D Mark II and 3 Zeiss prime lenses (ZE Mount) 28mm T/2.0, 50mm T/1.4 and a 85mm T/1.4. I was originally going to get the Sony FS100 but I decided to invest more of my money in glass plus with the announcement of the VAF-5D2 Optical Anti-Aliasing Filter for the 5D I decided this was the best kit for now.

Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do series projects with a HDSLR.

A beautiful film all shot on the Canon 7D and lensed with Tokina 11- 16, Tamron 17-50? Canon 17- 135, canon 70 -300.

iMovie Pro Sucks!

“I guess the easy answer would be a Sheen-like: duh! yeah! hello?! Scanning headlines last night and again this morning reveals a percolating backlash of discontent. Who moved my cheese, bro? The biggest offense seems to be the new dumbed down UI which is being dubbed “iMovie Pro” which is to say it’s very consumerish. In the eyes of the pros — remember, FCP has been used by Hollywood for years — this is like giving James Cameron a viewmaster to work on Avatar 2 and 3.”
